Important Facts About JEE Advanced 2021

The JEE Advanced exam is conducted for students who wish to pursue B-Tech courses in IITs and premier institutes. The exam was supposed to be conducted on 3rd July 2021. Because of the pandemic covid 19, it has been postponed. As per the new notification, the JEE Advanced exam is expected to be conducted on 3rd October 2021. IIT Kharagpur has announced all the information related to the entrance exam on the official website. Students are recommended to check the official website regularly and go through the guidelines so that they do not miss any changes announced by the exam conducting authority.

The top 2,50,000 candidates from JEE Main exam are eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. Since the difficulty level is quite high, students need proper preparation and hard work to score a high rank in JEE Advanced 2021. This exam is a computer-based online test. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the three subjects covered for this exam. The counselling authority is JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). The duration of the test is 3 hours.

JEE Advanced Registration And Fees

Once the JEE Main results are out, the conducting authority for the JEE Advanced exam will release the application form. This year, IIT Kharagpur will release the application forms. The candidates should register themselves on the official website and then fill the application form. They have to submit the form online along with the application fees. The registration fees for JEE Advanced is given below.

  • General candidates – INR 2800
  • Reserved category – INR 1400
  • Female candidates – INR 1400
  • SAARC Country candidates (Foreign nationals) – 75 USD
  • Non- SAARC Country candidates (Foreign nationals) – 150 USD

Best Books For JEE

While preparing for the JEE Advanced, students are advised to learn NCERT thoroughly. Then they should refer to other books for learning. Students should choose the right and best books for IIT JEE preparations. They are advised to avoid referring to multiple books for similar topics. Students should know their strengths and weaknesses and make an appropriate study plan so that the preparation time can be evenly divided and the entire syllabus can be covered in that time. Counselling

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is the authority that conducts the counselling. Candidates who qualify for JEE Advanced will have to register with JoSAA to participate in the counselling process. Seat allotment is done according to the ranks obtained by the candidates and their preferences along with the availability of seats. The JoSAA 2021 application form will be released once the JEE Advanced results are out.

As far as the JEE exam is concerned, preparation is very important to crack the exam. Since a large number of candidates are appearing for the JEE Main 2021, it is not an easy task to crack JEE Main and qualify for the JEE Advanced. Students should start preparation from grade 11 so that they learn the concepts thoroughly.
